House Leveling

Do you have cracks in your walls, bricks separating, or difficulty shutting your doors? These are a few signs that your house needs leveling.

Owning a “Pier and Beam” or Block and Base” foundation often requires leveling. View our video to see the home leveling process.

Home Leveling in the Houston Area

“Pier and beam” or “block and base” structures are often found in the Houston areas of Galveston, Pasadena, Galena Park, and Spring. These houses have the tendency to settle and crack. This happens because the wooden beam foundation at the base is unable to support the structure on top. Many factors can be the cause of this. For instance, age, weather, moisture, and termites can all damage and degrade the overall structure and/or affect the levelness of the floors.

When the soil under your home shrinks or swells due to the increase or lack of rain, it can cause the house to shift and move. Be cautious of your home’s conditions when Houston and surrounding areas begin to have flooding conditions or experience a drought or drought-like weather.

If you discover cracks in your drywall and various places around your home, and misadjusted doors, these may be signs that your house needs leveling.

How Do We Determine if Your Home Needs Leveling?

All initial inquiries are met with a free home inspection. Our experienced technicians can assess the condition of the beams, blocks, and base supporting structures, and identify the cause of your problem.

Our inspection is performed without any disruption to the home or residents.

If your home is built on a pier and beam foundation, Allied Foundation Repair Specialists can help you determine what needs to be repaired and get it fixed for you.

If required, any rotted beams are replaced, and the house is gradually lifted to its original line of construction.

Thousands of homes in Houston are of the pier-and-beam, or block-and-base variety. Many of these homes settle and crack because the wooden beam foundation at the base can't support the structure, or the beams deteriorate due to age, weather, or termites. Also, the shrinking and swelling of soil can cause the home to shift. If you own a block-and-base or pier-and-beam home in Houston, and have noticed cracks in the drywall or misaligned doors, you may need to have your home leveled. If so, you want to use a trusted company who has been in the business for decades, who provides a free estimate, down to the penny, and who guarantees all its work with a full warranty. Trust our tens of thousands of previous customers. Trust Allied Foundation. I want to walk you through the process of house leveling. The old wooden beams have been removed from this home and our men begin replacing them with new, treated wood. The new concrete blocks that are to be installed are fitted with metal termite guards. Once the new wood is installed, the men lay down concrete base blocks also known as pads. These are the foundation to this particular type of repair. The house is then raised up using jacks, back to its original construction line. The home is now once again level. The damage and expense that could have been incurred as a result of not treating the problem has been avoided. Most jobs take less than a day. Our prices are very competitive and all work comes with a warranty. And remember, Allied Foundation has been repairing homes for almost 3 decades. Trust experience. Trust our tens of thousands of previous customers. Trust Allied Foundation.
